Just another weekend here at the Cameron's. First church, followed by some gear shopping at REI, and then off to explore the great outdoors. This time around we met up with friends for - what everyone but me would call - a light hike up the Flatirons in Boulder. To give you some perspective (and me a bit of validation) the Flatirons we hiked are between 6,300 and 7,100 feet in elevation. The highest point on Long Island: 401 feet. Haha!

| According to the ever trustworthy Wikipedia, the Flatirons are so named by early pioneering women who thought the rocky peaks resembled, you guessed it... irons. |
There was some snow (and ice!) on the trail, but not as much pictured above. Which isn't mine by the way. I
snagged it from Wikipedia for demonstrative purposes since I left my camera at home. We did have Brandon's phone, however, and used it to capture a few shots of the journey. As a word of warning - I'm currently obsessed with the cinemascope effect on
Picnik.com.
