happy easter

It's probably a good time for me to update the blog since I haven't posted anything in nearly 2 months.  Of course, it's 12:30am and I'm getting up at 7:30am to climb, so it's probably also a good time for sleep.

Eh, I miss you guys.  Sleep can wait.  Plus, I have cute pictures to share... see?

Our first Easter in Colorado. Too bad you can't see Brandon's recently acquired farmer's tan - it's darling.
Easter sprang up on me this year. No pun intended. Perhaps it was the 70-80 degree weather we've been having that seemed unnaturally springish to a northeastern gal like me, or maybe it was the lack of stress associated with working in a church on Easter that threw me off.  Whatever it was, I liked it.  Brandon and I just lounged around the apartment, had a late breakfast in our pj's, and savored the time off together.

Later that evening we met up with a few familiar faces for a fantastic feast and family frivolities (applause for my alliteration skills, anyone?)  Easter just wouldn't have been complete without:

Aunt Wendy -

Her chubby kitty "Macheeta"-

Lou -

Gwen -

And our cousin Scott, who's usually in the kitchen with a glass of wine and a butcher knife, swearing at an inanimate piece of food.

*&@#$!#%!
So what WAS on our holiday menu, you ask?
Why rabbit, of course.

I couldn't resist being a little twisted:  I put ears and a tail on the roasted fella just before serving him up to the rest of the family.  It seemed more festive that way.

No post is complete without a few model-y poses of the author looking all casual and chic.
