Surprise! After a lot of thought, prayer, and general back-and-forthness, Brandon and I decided to move to Colorado. Not only are we ready for a change of scenery and pace, but Brandon also wants to go back to school for his Master's in Counseling and the Mile High city seems like a pretty cool place to set up shop for a few years.
Why Colorado, you ask? Well...
1) Brandon was born there (and spent the first 10 years of childhood there)
2) it has a huge Outdoor Education job market (anyone want to hire me?)
3) it averages 300 sunny days a year (goodbye seasonal affective disorder)
4) it's considered one of the "greenest" states to live in (by CNBC)
5) it's got great skiing and camping (duh)

Lord willing, come August 1st (right after our U2 concert in New Jersey - talk about going out in style!) we'll pack our car with whatever fits and hit the open road, saying goodbye (and good-riddance) to New York traffic and tolls forever. Bwhahahaha! (that's probably not the right spot for a menacing cackle, but it just felt right, so go with it).
