OUR STORY

It all started with a stapler... Brandon and Jen both attended Gordon College and worked together in the athletic center on campus.  For two years, their friendship consisted of little more than polite conversations and phone calls about work schedules. Then during the winter of 2005, after both of their previous relationships ended, Jen borrowed a stapler from Brandon and repeatedly forgot to return it.  Every chance meeting thereafter reverted jokingly to a discussion about the "elusive" stapler. It wasn't long before the stapler became an excuse to meet on purpose, and the more they talked the more they fell in love. Two years later, on December 15, 2007, Brandon surprised Jen with an early Christmas present - beautiful MSR Snowshoes she had long been eyeing at REI (her favorite store). Since there was no snow in Boston, Brandon drove her to the White Mountains in New Hampshire on a beautifully flurry day for an afternoon of snowshoeing, and unbeknownst to Jen, an engagement proposal.

The college sweethearts became Mr. & Mrs. at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens in August 2008. As they exchanged vows, brilliant lightning dashed across the sky, illuminating the glass dome above their heads. The next morning, they were happily sinking their toes into warm tropical sand as husband and wife.
For their first few years as newlyweds, Brandon and Jen lived on Long Island and worked side by side in youth ministry. In their down time they enjoyed pub trivia, pottery painting, sailing, polar bear plunges, farmer's markets, Thai restaurants, Dairy Barn iced tea and snowshoeing (of course). By 2012, the Cameron's relocated to Colorado for a much needed change of pace. They felt an immediate kinship with the outdoor-loving state and their lives were soon filled with all sorts of adventures - the most exciting of which included becoming parents! First to a rescue named Ollie, and soon after to a baby girl named Piper Olivia. 

These days the Cameron's enjoy the slower, more slobbery and stinky pace of life, what with a teething baby and lovable bulldog hanging around. Future aspirations include buying their first home, traveling to Europe, making more babies, opening a private practice (Brandon is a therapist), and sitting through an entire movie uninterrupted.
