Half full or half empty?

I admit I'm not very good at having patience. Like, take for instance, when I'm waiting around to hear back from a job... or several.  I do my best to channel hope and optimism from those tried and true Bible verses (ie: Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight" and Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God"), but despite my better judgement, I act like a negative nancy drinking a half empty glass of sour milk.

Thank goodness for the great outdoors, cousin's with boats, and a crap load of camping gear. It's much easier to relax (and trust God) when I'm staring at the rockies instead of my empty inbox.

The boys slept in (or maybe I got up too early).  Either way, I was bored and started snapping silhouette shots on the tent wall until Brandon told me to quit it because my shutter was too loud.

I didn't realize I took a photo of myself, so then I had to make up for it with a nicer pose.

The boys caught trout. I'm skeptical that it was even two different fish at all.  As for me, I had a bunch of nibbles on my lucky lure, but lacked the skill of that River Monster's guy to reel them in. Someone had to have "the one that got away" fish story anyway.

This is Scott.  See Scott drive.  Go, Scott, Go.

Well, we weren't going to throw it back!

Ya know, if I DID have a job, I'd probably be too busy to do these things. So there's a silver lining after all.

Have a wonderfully half-full week.
